Gardening and Painting @ Granby Elementary - Project Full!

The principal of Granby Elementary has invited STC Norfolk to help them make a big difference in their landscape and give their playground equipment a fresh coat of paint. We can use at least 20 people on Saturday to help us out. We have some equipment and materials needs as well.

An army of dirt-lovin volunteers will storm Granby High on Saturday, in order to restore a little beauty and order to a landscape that has endured the pitter patter of hundreds of high school feet all year! Bring as many people as you like – the more the merrier. Let’s show some love in practical ways to a school that serves so many families in our community.
ForKids: Serving at transitional housing in East Ocean View

We need 20 people to come and get their hands dirty as we do some garden and landscape work on some homes that serve families transitioning out of homelessness.

The Stockley Gardens Art Festival raises money for, and showcases art by, the men and women who benefit from the ministry of Hope House. We want to serve the festival committee in many ways, and that starts with some heavy lifting. We need 5-10 macho men & wonder women to help us get the art festival off to a great start.

STC Norfolk is going to field a team of people at the Art Festival who will serve the many artists there, by bringing them refreshments, giving them breaks, and bringing a positive presence to the Art Festival in general. Tutoring Children & Computer Work @ Park Place School

Mentoring a child is a life-changing experience. We want to show the kids of Park Place some love and attention this Saturday. We need a team of 12 to help us out. There is also some computer work that needs to be done – if you have some skill in that area, it can be used well this Saturday.
Repairing a Damaged Church in Park Place - Project Full!

A store-front church in Park Place has reached out, asking for some help with some damaged they’ve sustained. This is a project for people who are handy with tools. We need a team of 10, and will have some material needs as this project develops. This is a relatively advanced project, and an opportunity to make a big difference in the life of one church in Park Place.
Building Seats for a Church Youth Center in Park Place

We have the chance to partner with a church that is renovating its youth center by helping them construct some seating. We need 5-10 people who are either very handy with tools, or who don’t mind smashed thumbs. Your choice!

Practical Projects @ Union Mission AM

Serving the Elderly in Lamberts Point

Last year, we were given the chance to serve the elderly in the Lamberts Point neighborhood with some Spring Cleaning activities. We want to do the same this year, and bring a big team of compassionate, hard working people with us! We need dozens of men and women to help us do some good, wholesome (by that we mean dirty) work.
